About

I'm a pastel artist, based in Perth, Western Australia. I love the outdoors and being able use that inspiration to create my art. I'm actually a qualified botanist and from 2002 - 2007 was lucky enough to travel through the Goldfields region of WA surveying plants and landscapes. Hence this unflattering picture of me having lunch on the side of the Great Central Road :). What a privilege it was to call this type of travel and exploration 'work'. This lead to my first 2 exhibitions, in Perth, Western Australia. In 2008, children came along and with that a hiatus in my botany career. I kept producing art and my 3rd exhibition, 'Travel Diary' was an eclectic collection of paintings that showcased my favourite bits from  regional WA and a family holiday to Europe.

The next phase of my art career commenced with a move in 2016 to Kununurra in the Kimberley of Western Australia. It's a stunning landscape, with rugged ranges, creek line oases and striking contrasts between the dry and wet seasons. I was inspired and enjoyed capturing this truly unique part of the world.

Life has changed a bit as while in Kununurra I commenced a Masters of Teaching and have since completed this and relocated back to Perth. So I'm busy guiding the next generation of youtubers, gamers and hopefully artists through the education journey!

I do hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it. I get real pleasure out of my art and have discovered new pleasures meeting and chatting with tourists and locals each week at the markets.

I hope to chat with you too one day and collectively we can enjoy this wonderful country.
